Phase 1 was proposing the idea of Expetrac, whereas Phase 2 was evolving the idea by looking at the target audience, user scenarios and basic wireframes for the interface. Here in phase 3, since I had the wireframes, I decided to dive into the visual look and feel of the app. Here I explore concepts of color, font, iconography and the smart watch.

Watch Interface

The watch is an accessory to the mobile app, hence I made the decision to have limited and important functionality to the watch. One could view the trail map on the watch, record photo or an audio with voice command technology, look up whats coming up nearby and call friends who are synced on the map who are on the same hike.

Desktop Interface

Unlike the watch, the desktop interface could have all the information and functionality, but since it is not likely to be taken on the hike, there was no point in showing the real life trail map and location data of the user.

The home page has the hiking timelines of the user. The other navigation is friends, from where the user can invite friends to go with and also co-ordinate with them.

Once you click on the timeline, you see the trail you took with markers representing your recordings.  There is an option to share the timeline from here.
